EMSELLA® chair

Therapy for sustainable healing of incontinence and pelvic floor weakness

Do you have problems holding back your urge to urinate? You fear losing control at the slightest cough, sneeze or even laugh?

Incontinence is a widespread problem in our society, which represents a considerable burden for most of those affected and prevents them from participating normally in everyday life. However, many do not know that there are simple and uncomplicated techniques for efficient treatment of this diagnosis.

With the EMSELLA® chair, we offer in our practice a modern and non-invasive therapy for the lasting cure of incontinence and pelvic floor weakness.

What is the EMSELLA® chair and how does it work?

Developed by urologists, the chair is an innovative approach to relieving incontinence symptoms in men and women. The electromagnetic waves emitted by the chair stimulate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. The waves cause intense muscle contractions in the pelvic floor and the muscles are trained many times more efficiently than with ordinary pelvic floor training. To achieve a lasting effect, only six to ten treatments are needed, depending on the symptoms.

In addition to the convenience of an effortless therapy, a remarkable and long-lasting success can be seen after a short time.

When am I a candidate for the EMSELLA® chair?

Basically, the EMSELLA® treatment is suitable for people of all ages with mild and advanced incontinence problems. Especially during menopause (menopause) or after childbirth in women, before or after prostate surgery in men, or in old age in both sexes, EMSELLA® therapy is recommended, since in these phases of life the pelvic floor muscles may be slack and incontinence is a common problem. In addition, the EMSELLA® chair can also be used preventively to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and avoid incontinence.

Women with reduced orgasmic ability and men with erectile dysfunction can also benefit from treatment with the EMSELLA® chair. Here, targeted training of the pelvic floor is the key to alleviating these complaints, as in both women and men this musculature plays a major role in sexual satisfaction.

What exactly is the procedure of the EMSELLA® treatment?

Since it is a non-invasive treatment, you can come to the treatment appointments flexibly and without preparation. Appointments are usually scheduled twice a week, although this can be deviated from if necessary. Sessions last approximately 30 minutes and can be attended fully clothed. The patient simply positions him/herself on the chair and can even read a book or talk comfortably during the therapy.

If you are considering such treatment and have further questions, please feel free to stop by for a consultation appointment.
